teen Connected
Teen ConnectEd is a platform organized to engage teens in conversation around trauma and mental health, with a goal to empower teens and equip them with tools and knowledge to advocate for themselves and others. Teen ConnectEd aims to deliver content and implement activities that are organized and led by teens, promoting peer support and advocacy.
care partner advocacy
An individual or family may request a care partner advocate who has been trained to provide support in navigating trauma, mental health and/or addiction, many of whom have lived experience and an understanding of the need for support.
CARE Partners help navigate paths that are often difficult by providing guidance within a supportive and accepting community.
restorative intervention support efforts
Sacred Spaces of CARE provides trauma and crisis education, and promotes mental health initiatives for law enforcement within the Alton Police Department.
In addition, Sacred Spaces of CARE will support crisis related incidents and provide follow-up services to assist with linking individuals in crisis to community supports and resources related to trauma, mental health and substance use.
family wellness
Family Wellness consists of diverse, therapy-based educational opportunities that are aimed at providing tools to support healing and promote wellness, inclusive of all generations and roles of the family. Family Wellness activities can encompass training, support groups, events, and more.
advocacy efforts
Sacred Spaces of CARE aims to give a voice to all, through utilizing social media platforms, podcasts, print sources, and other outlets to educate and advocate. Advocacy efforts will highlight local resources and emphasize collaborative community efforts that address mental health and increase accessibility to care.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Sacred Spaces of CARE can provide eductional training and workshops related to trauma, mental health, substance use, suicide prevention, and a variety of other wellness topics. Educational opportunities are tailored to meet the needs of the audience, can be delivered in a variety of formats, and are informative, but practical in nature, with a focus on providing shared strategies and tools to better understand and address mental health.
