Sacred Spaces of CARE
Community Advocacy Resource Education
Sacred Spaces of CARE was founded and organized as an intentional effort to increase awareness of
how trauma impacts our community. We believe that education of trauma and its affects, leads to a deeper understanding
of the healing journey and allows us to more appropriately advocate for ourselves and respond to the needs of others.
Our vision
The vision of Sacred Spaces of CARE
is to build a community that is
responsive to trauma and prioritizes
mental health and wellness.
OUR MISSION
Sacred Spaces of CARE empowers people to engage in mental health and take steps

A note from Megan...
Why Sacred Spaces of CARE?
I am passionate about encouraging meaningful, authentic community and exploring pathways to healing, recovery, and wellness. I believe in focusing on commonalities over differences and embracing diversity to change the narrative and give voice to all. Each of us have a unique story, comprised of both joys and hurts. I believe that every person has value and purpose, and that we have a lot to learn from each other. Our mind is a powerful tool and our journey towards healing and wellness can be strengthened when we choose to embrace community and seek belonging, rather than face difficulties alone.
Megan is an educator by profession and much of her experience has been within high-trauma settings, where she has been trained in trauma-informed practices. Megan has been involved in nonprofit work, community-based educational programming and recovery-focused advocacy and support for several years.
